   Parents: Abner Brown Skelton and Susan Lyon Vick
  She married a second time to John E. Shipp in Humphreys County, Tennessee, January 28, 1862; Humphries County, Tennessee; they had six children

  • 1870 U.S. Census, Humphries County, Tennessee, Elijah's wife and son are living with her new husband, John E. Shipp.
  • 1880 U.S. Census, District 13, Humphreys, Tennessee, T9-1263, pg 144D, Sarah and her son are in the household of J.E. Shipp, her new husband, along with her other 5 chldren that she had with Mr. Shipp.
  • 1900 U.S. Census, Buffalo Pct, Humphreys County, Tennessee; Sarah and son James found in household of John Shipp, Sarah's 2nd husband
  • 1910 U.S. Census, Humphreys County, Tennessee, Sarah is in the household of her son John R., along with her daughter Sallie Shipp.
