  • 1860 U.S. Census, Jasper County, Missouri, T653-624, p. 789; Henry, Nancy, and daughter Sarah and her husband Charles Ross are living in the household with children Thomas A. (12) and Ella (2). In the same county a Joseph B. Morris is found with his family, T653-624, p. 837; Joseph and Elizabeth Riley on same page as her father
  • 1870 U.S. Census, Jasper County, Missouri, T593-783, p. 25; Sarah is with her new husband, one child from her husband Charles Ross, and several Ralston children (not known which are her's). Joseph B. Morris is in Independence County, Arkansas, T593-55, p. 60
  • 1880 U.S. Census. Sarah Morris Ralston is found in Bates County, Missouri, with Ida, Clinton, and Birdie Ralston (assumed to be her children; she is probably a widow), T9-0673, p. 24C. They are in the household of a James Forbes (with his 9 year old daughter Nancy), could this be the husband of Sarah's sister Nancy? It states that the daughter Nancy's mother was born in Arkansas. Joseph B. Morris is in Independence County, Arkansas, with his children (no wife, so is probably a widower), T9-0047, p. 269C.

Henry Morris Will
It was written Feb 4, 1869, in Wayne Co. TN.
I Henry Morris do make and publish this my last will and testament revoking and making all other wills by me at any time made.

First I want my executor to pay after my burial expenses to pay all just debts out of any money that I have on hand at my death or the first that comes into his hands.

Secondly I give and bequeath to my son JOSEPH B. MORRIS a tract of land in Independence Co. AR containing 160 acres the same granted to Wm. M. Lafferty and deeded to Garrison Bush by said Lafferty & Bush to me, to have and to hold.

Third I give and bequeath unto my daughter SUSAN J. HOOD, SARAH A. RAULSTON and the heirs of ELIZABETH RILEY, deceased the amount of my household and kitchen furniture and other articles as they each have that I left in the State of Missouri, except as is herewith mentioned. I direct that my daughter SUSAN H. HOOD have all the notes and accounts I left in the hands of her husband DAVID R. HOOD. I further give unto my two daughters SUSAN J. and SARAH A. a note I hold in J. Cravin for $340.00 principle and interest to be equally divided between them.

Fourth; in as much as I have heretofore given my daughter ELIZABETH RILEY, deceased, considerable more than my other children I direct that her heirs have the amount set apart in the 3rd section it being the amount they have of my household furniture.

Fifth; I give and bequeath unto balance left unto my beloved wife NANCY MORRIS and my daughter NANCY L. BIFFLE, wife of N. F. BIFFLE all the rest and residue of my accounts and all other articles of value to be equally divided betwwen them.

Sixth and lastly I hereby nominate and appoint NANCY MORRIS and N. F. BIFFLE my executrix & executor to this my last will and testament and request the court allow them to execute the same without security. In test? where I have here unto set my hand and affixed my seal this the 4th day of Feb 1869.
